John Lehman, Ph.D.


John Lehman, Ph. D. Dr. John Lehman has been a licensed psychologist for 13 years. He has a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. He has over 20 years of experience in the mental health field. He has been extensively involved in providing law enforcement services for over 10 years. He did his post-doctoral residency with a police psychologist. He has done thousands of law enforcement evaluations and numerous individual and group debriefings.

Dr. Lehman is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Psychology and Law Division of APA. He is an Associate Member of the International Association of Chief’s of Police and a member of the IACP’s Police Psychology Section. He has extensive continuing education on violence in the workplace. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Forensic Examiners. His personal practice is devoted to assessment. He lectures nationally on psychological assessment for determining fitness to perform job functions.

He is a member of the Mental Health Cadre of the Dallas Chapter of the American Red Cross and worked on 9/11 providing mental health crisis services to flight attendants across the country. After 9/11 he assisted in debriefing of Red Cross workers from Dallas who returned from Ground Zero. He also serves as an approved psychologist for the Texas Board of Nursing Examiners to evaluate impaired nurses. In addition to his experience in psychology, he has had extensive management experience including the management of a large program which operated 24 hours/day,7 days/week with over 200 employees. He is aware of the staffing issues presented by 24 hour staffing.
