Assessment & Treatment Referral Evaluations
John Lehman, Ph. D. & Associates provide evaluations for various organizations and individuals to assist in the diagnosis of mental health and addictive issues. The assessments are designed to assess current problems and to provide treatment recommendations that will aid the person in returning to more productive functioning both on the job and in their personal lives.
These evaluations include an initial diagnostic interview with a licensed psychologist and are tailored to the specific issues that are presented during the assessment process. Following the interview, a battery of psychological assessment instruments is tailored to the specific needs of the case and administered to the individual. Following the administration and scoring of the instruments, a follow-up interview is held to explain the results and to provide recommendations for treatment (if needed).
Treatment referrals can also be provided if requested; however Lehman and Associates cannot provide both assessment and treatment as that is considered a conflict of interest.
Currently, these evaluations are provided for a variety of needs including:
- Peer assistance programs for professionals (Texas Peer Assistance Programs for Nurses, Professinal Recovery Network)
- Assessment of violence risk in the workplace
- Adoptions
- Immigration
- Assessment of substance abuse severity and treatment needs
- Fitness to handle job duties
- Disability
Costs for these evaluations vary depending upon the assessment needed. However, we can quote you the inclusive cost for such an evaluation after a telephone consultation with one of the psychologists on the staff.
